Construction to begin for outdoor game

Hockey fans, the time is finally here. This weekend, construction crews will begin to transform Camp Randall Stadium into an outdoor arena for the Culver’s Camp Randall Hockey Classic on Feb. 6.
Beginning Saturday night, fans will be able to follow along as the crew builds the foundation, puts up boards, and installs the ice via a live video stream of the entire process on UWBadgers.com. Fans will be able to see just how this world-renowned football stadium is going to transform itself into a hockey rink.
Once the crews finish, be sure to check back here to view the entire transformation in just a few minutes with a time-lapse video of the whole construction process.
The Culver’s Camp Randall Hockey Classic on Saturday, Feb. 6, features double-header collegiate hockey action. The Wisconsin women’s hockey team faces Bemidji State at 2 p.m. followed by the Wisconsin men’s hockey team which faces Michigan at 5 p.m. Tickets are available including discounted group and youth hockey team ticket packages.
