Advertising Lullaby by George Carlin

As a copywriter, I have to admit I’ve used most of the words Carlin elegantly strings together. I don’t take offense. I agree with him. When you become a copywriter, they hand you a blackhat book of ready to use, no fail, make the phones ring words. You think you have the secret formula to great advertising copy. WRONG! Bad advertising uses those crutch words Carlin rambles on about.

BTW, I’ve burned my book of stock marketing/advertising words years ago. Burn yours now.
